由民間人士策畫執行，獲得臺灣逾 15 家公私立美術館、博物館及私人藏家提供典藏品，以及文化部、外交部與客家委員會支持。

重要參展藝術家包括黃土水、陳澄波、李梅樹、林玉山、郭雪湖、洪瑞麟、黃歌川、陳夏雨與莊世和等。展出約 200 件繪畫、雕塑、版畫與攝影原作，其中100件日本藝術家作品。加上近 600 件橫跨文學、音樂、戲劇、舞蹈與電影領域的歷史文獻，總計近 800 件展品。

Initiated and organised by independent cultural practitioners, the exhibition brings together loans from more than 15 public and private art museums, museums and private collections across Taiwan, with support from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hakka Affairs Council.

Key participating artists include Huang Tu-Shui, Chen Cheng-Po, Li Mei-Shu, Lin Yu-Shan, Kuo Hsueh-Hu, Hung Jui-Lin, Huang Ko-Chuan, Chen Hsia-Yu and Chuang Shih-Ho.

The exhibition features around 200 original works of painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography, including approximately 100 works by Japanese artists. These are presented alongside nearly 600 historical documents spanning literature, music, theatre, dance and film, bringing the total number of exhibits to nearly 800.
