While searching for Ko Chuan Huang's information, I suddenly realized that his amazing experience, creativity, and records could never be expressed in a few words. It is worth mentioning that he advocated modern batik painting, developed new techniques and expressions and became a unique artist in the modern Chinese painting movement in post-war Taiwan. I think that at the time, the vivid texture in his batik paintings chimed with rubbings of Liu Guo-Song and others. Those were also manifestations of trying to integrate Eastern and Western cultures, and they are themes worthy of our in-depth exploration in the development of post-war Taiwanese art history. (2020)
